Here is Tom relaxing about 10minutes after arrival. The camera is just under the TV, so it looks like he is posing patiently, but he is really watching his news. 😉

Day One Is In the Books
Not a whole lot to report for today. 385 miles, 6.5 hours, $67 worth of gas and we are here in Colorado Springs. The roadwork on the way up was nearing completion in all the same places where we saw it in the early summer. The rains have turned the prairies and the mountains lush, so it was a beautiful drive up. The camp here on the Air Force Academy grounds is very nice pine forest and we have not heard any of the thunder and lightning warnings from our last visit (See June 18 post)

I fear Tom is way too relaxed for Day One. He may not have enough relaxation for the entire trip
