Peaches and peaches
This year the peach crop has been incredible. Neighbors scuttle around to porches dropping off bushels of fruit even after having canned pantries full of peach jam and preserves. The smell of cooking peaches is wafting out of my kitchen right now and this is what we will be having for dessert tonight. Peach Cobbler, yum.

This is what retired looks like
For the last couple of years Tom kept saying when he retired we would go to breakfast on a school day or go to a movie in the afternoon of a school day. Today was the first day Back To School for APS, so today we did both. First, we have Tom (channeling Jack Nicholson I think) at the IHOP showing off the 'no watch' and the overly large breakfast.

Follow Button now included...
Being a victim of both the new Blogger interface and my own non-techness, I finally figured out how to add the Gadget that allows people to follow the blog. It's at the bottom of the page. Just enter your email, blah, blah, blah.
I think there is also a way to add an RSS feed, and a few other likes and shares but I am still laughing that they actually call the Gadgets and Widgets Gadgets and Widgets. When they start making software called Thingamabobs and Whatchamacallits please let me know.

She's Baaack!
Our Japanese exchange teacher has bravely decided to return to our home for a ten day visit. She tells us she has greatly missed green chili enchiladas, breakfast sausage and yes....WalMart.
It seems that vast acreages of everything you might ever need and eat are not available under a single roof in Japan.
