in Laguna
Wow able to relax and enjoy some overcast, we normally get over 335 days of sunshine! Not hooked on any art yet but Wyland is less than a block away. Tom
Now comes Later
This could mean now as in TA-da, here comes the thing I said I would do before. Or it could mean I am so busy with Now that I will have to tell you about it Later. And I suppose if I do either the other also has/will come to pass.
But what I do mean to say now is that I have a few minutes to catch up with the actual blogging that is/was supposed to accompany the photos in the last few posts.
First, the wedding of John and Logan was simply wonderful. Beautiful, fun, gracious, sparkling, surprising and all that goes with that. They are now enjoying their travels in Thailand and John is now the family Sabu the Elephant boy. (Look up the movies on TCM or better yet, download the John Prine song from the live album on iTunes if this reference is unfamiliar to you.) yes, Logan posted Facebook updates with pictures.
Next was a whirlwind of overnight visits with family and friends. Never enough time to see everyone and never enough time to talk about all the things we want to catch up on. But a big hug and thanks to B2 and Patty, Dad and Ilene and Sig and Brett for the use of their guest beds and for the wonderful meals and conversations. You all are invited to NM for a visit when your schedules permit.
We are now ensconced in our little condo in Laguna Beach and I am
Listening to the waves breaking on shore while I wrote this. Still June Gloom but the sun is trying to peek through. We are promised that by Monday it should be sunny and summery, although for us desert dwellers I have to say the marine layer is now a novelty.
I am off to Luncheon with an online cruise friend...

Dinner with Best Friends
One of the nicest things is seeing my college best buds and having a meal together. Can you believe we have all known each other more than 40 years!

Spring
A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks, or whenever the last post was. Which means I have also forgotten the correct blog password as well as the correct blog email addy if I want to post on the go from my phone or ipad. <Sigh> I will figure this out. I think.
Made our reservations for the airlines, as well as the hotels in Paris and Rome. Starting to do all the little details that I adore about travel, and which are anethema to others. All the new travel apps make it fun, but I still tend to regress to the tried and true paper and pen for notes and sheet protectors for organizing. :~) But that's just me. I am starting to use Tripit to collect all the relevant data in one place. Still not sure if I will consider that the backup and hard copy as my original source, or if its the other way around. We had lovely spring weather for a couple of weeks, the bulbs are blooming, the peas and celery are much bigger now. And then it rained last night and this morning we have.....
Do you see the tulips? Snow has now stopped after about 15 straight hours of rain or snow. Should melt soon, and the weather man promises a return to spring tomorrow.
